The Standard of Airtight Child Resistant Tin Box
There are various “airtight child resistant tin box” in the market, but not many guys know the standard of “airtight”. What’s the standard of airtight? It can be divided into three options:
First class: pack water and water couldn’t be leaking(like GEN1 and Gen2)；
Second: placing tins into water and water couldn’t be entered into；
Last: smell proof(like THC DESIGN).
The accessories of airtight tin is the same like CR tin, metal holder, silicone or foam pad, but the function and standard is totally different. All the accessories should be matched well, so the airtight standard can be perfect.
How to match all accessories to reach on perfect airtight? There are three points.
First: more than 1mm thickness silicone or foam – so it’s with enough elasticity and it won’t affect the CR mechanism.
Second: remove the dembossing area on lid – the lid of area can be embossing, but debossing will destroy the airtight function.
Third: the lid and CR mechanism should be adjusted together – the height metal holder should be around 0.1 to 0.6mm, tin case couldn’t be opened or closed well if exceeding this height. This height is too difficult to be controlled unless install the special fixed tools to control this difference.
